Anon May Shoot Down Indian Government Web Site

#Opindia has just launched a “FIRE FIRE FIRE” tweet apparently directed at the Indian Parliament web site.

This announcement comes only one day after Anonymous allegedly engaged in an internet censorship protest movement by taking down the web site of Computer Emergency Response Team, the major Indian agency designed to respond to computer security incidents.

“We aren’t harming the websites or changing their content. This is a silent protest,” declared Anonymous, in an exclusive statement for The Times of India.

The hacktivists claimed responsibility for a large scale project called “Operation India” which was launched last Thursday and targeted several Government websites such as that of the Supreme Court of India. However, the group clearly denied their involvement in a previous cyber attack against the Indian Army Website, dubbed Operation Kashmir.
